Happy Easter everyone! This is our first time going to an Easter egg hunt. There’re lots of egg hunts in the Kanas City area, but we went to our little town’s annual egg hunt event. The entire town of Liberty were there! Wesley was not interested at all when he saw the playground, so daddy had to watch him climbing and sliding. Audrey had her first egg hunt adventure, which really turned into egg picking!
Although the city’s park and recreation department divided the kids into 4 age groups, there were literally eggs everywhere in the park. I took Audrey to the 3-5 year old group. Eggs are more spreaded out than the 0-2 year old group. We got about 15 eggs and there was no limit to the amount of eggs you could “pick”. Our local Super Target is generous enough to sponsor more than 15,000 candy filled eggs for the kids in Liberty, MO! Audrey was happy that she filled her little basket with Easter eggs.
Wesley really had no interest in egg hunting even though we told him there were candies in it. Although he loves candy, he will forget about candy when he sees playground; so we spent rest of the afternoon at the playground. When they are out in the park or woods, they love to throw rocks to the creek. They could do that for the entire afternoon.
We went to another egg hunt yesterday. Audrey got to play with real bunnies. Too bad that she had really bad allergy after petting the bunnies.
Glad she is not allergic to this Easter bunny. This is the best looking and nicest Easter bunny we met. He played with Audrey on his break from his official chair and posed with her for quite some time.
Wesley’s Chinese zodiac is a bunny, but he is afraid of all kinds of mascots, so this includes the Easter bunny. We went to throw sticks to the creek again. The last picture of Audrey hugging Wesley from back was taken right before the event ended. She is really a big sister. She was trying to protect Wesley from falling into the creek.
