One of our good friends Sandy left Kansas City for her new adventure in Salt Lake City, UT. We have known each other for 9 years since we moved to Kansas City for our current day time job. We thought our kids were going to grow up together, but this opportunity would change everything. Sandy likes to take challenges and this is a great opportunity for her. She is a solution architect in the day and fashion blogger by night and weekend. She is the magic behind Sandy A La Mode.
The week before she left, we had Sandy and her two years old boy Austin over for dinner. Sandy is expecting her baby #2 and is due in September. Austin is such a mommy’s boy. He spends more time with Sandy while his daddy travels on business most of time. The move would reunite their family and reduce the chance of traveling and separation. We missed Austin’s daddy Marvin that night because he was again traveling for work.
After dinner, we took some photos in my studio. Sandy told me that Austin would not sit for pictures, but we managed it by using gummies. Audrey wanted to hop in and say goodbye to her little friend Austin. The picture of them two hugging is so sweet! I wish I could get a good studio shot of Audrey and Wesley hugging each other. I am going to write this down as one of my challenges this year. The session turned to be a casual headshots and lifestyle studio session. We played games, sang songs, and ate tummies. The most important thing is to capture some quality memories before Sandy leaves Kansas City. This would be the first week after Sandy’s family moves to Sandy, UT. How wonderful is that? Sandy lives in Sandy, UT. We will miss you Sandy! You’ve been a great friend!
